Hosting the open mic at Station 59 in Richmond spawned this song. After seeing 397 Bob Dylan clones all writing very arty (and occasional artful songs) I decided that I too would write an art song; out of spite. So I settled on the artistic subject of Duran Duran's song Wild Boys. My object was to make a dulcet, poetic, poignant song that was very clever and referenced popular culture. It was meant as a piss take. It actually turned out pretty good.
