about

It's 'A Greatest Bits'. My personal favourites, some less known alternate versions of a few songs, some curios and previously unreleased old (early '90s through the naughties) tracks. This collection represents stuff that is either closest to my heart, or unique in some indispensable way. These tracks are the truth about my journey as a music maker.

Here is a list of some thanks from over the years.

Andrew, Alex and Dave, in Christchurch who were always around any time of the day or night.
Doron who paid to go to SAE and then taught me what he'd learned for free.
Tim Warmington from Tim's Bookshop here in Melbourne. Tim aside from being and inspiration as a performer, has been a hugely generous supporter. Plus other Open Mic in Kew, Station 59 Open Mic and round abouts family, Lol, Rob, Dougy and Stu.
The Station 59 crew, Mick, Alice, Naf, Rach.
Three of my great teachers Paul Baakman, Richard Hall and Max Clayton. Special thanks to Richard for being my unwavering champion over the last 14 years.
Charlie Jemmet owner of CJ's Music
Mary and Kerry McKammon of Natural Magic, Allie, Steve, Fiona and all the Playbackers in Christchurch.
The Puriri St folks, Lal, Martin, Dillon and Gretchen.
Gretchen with whom I learned what it takes to be a professional musician and with whom I’ve traveled this road for a time. She has been witness to the making of more of this music than anyone.
Arnie Van Bussel of Nightshift Studios, friend and mentor.
Mike Brassel and all of the Hexer's, Squirmers, Nosefluters and beyond into the ranks of guys and girls from the Christchurch underbelly who were my trenchmates if not friends. Barb and Luke.
Richie and Helen of Giant Little.
Richard, Michelle, Scott, Sonoko and Mish from Whitehorse Music.
Shane and Tracy and the Couchfungus a great collision of life and art.
The Yak Speakeasy, my first Melbourne music home. Stalk, Molly, Ross, Billy, George .
Tom Bolton bespoke friendship at its finest.
The Kiwis, Philly, Caf, Collin.
Hilde Knottenbelt and Jen, and Creative Voice still active here in Melbourne.
My Dark Ale brothers, Dave, Rich and Matt.
Derek, Dave, Nev, Bruce, Chris, BigLove, Paul, Rohan (collaborator and neighbour too) and all the people I’ve produced for.
Jude has been a resilient voice of support, Pete has given invaluable financial help at several key moments, Hamish proves that music making must be latent in the genes and not just some freakish act of sheer will and/or belligerence on my behalf.
